Kellie grew up in Battersea, South London.  She is a graduate of Camberwell School of Art (1991) and Brighton University (1994) and gained her MA in Arts Criticism from City University in 2001.                                                 With more than 12 years experience as a full-time artist, she has always made self and professional development central to her practice.                                                                                                                                  Together with several colleagues, she founded Biscuit Studio in 1996.  Under her direction, it has expanded and has supported and promoted many artists.  She is also a founder member of Hove Arts, an organisation linking artists’ houses, studios and workshops as part of the Brighton Festival.                                                                                In addition to exhibitions in Denmark and Germany, she spent several months in residency in Shigaraki, Japan in 2003, sponsored by The Arts Council SE, ANA-All Nippon Airways, The Aldrich Collection and a private collector of her work.    She has work in museum collections in Taiwan, Japan and the UK.                                                                           Her work has been featured widely in the press, including The Times, The Guardian, Elle Decoration and Homes and Gardens.
